With multiple publications to his credit, Professor Abdelgader held a significant position at the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine, and King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His educational background includes an M.B.B.S. from Khartoum, a Ph.D. from Dundee, Scotland, and fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians in London and Edinburgh, as well as the Royal Society of Health in London.
Over his extensive career, Professor Abdelgader has held several administrative and professional positions, including Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at King Saud University and Director of the Blood Bank at King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh. He has also established and managed the Coagulation Research Laboratory for over twenty-five years, contributing significantly to research studies published in international journals. His expertise extends to diagnostic assistance in haemostatic testing, quality control of blood bank products, and ongoing research collaborations with universities in the United States.
